Thinking of your next road trip? The vehicle you drive plays a huge part in whether you’ll enjoy your time behind the wheel. Consider one of these four Toyota vehicles for different types of drivers and different types of travel.

Family Journey: Toyota Sienna
If you’re traveling with a large family, you need a vehicle that will get you to your destination safely and in comfort. The Sienna is perfect for this, and the 3.5-liter V-6 engine delivers more power than you may expect. The following features and specs make this a fantastic family road trip vehicle:

  • Cargo volume: 1 cubic feet (150 cubic feet including the seat area).
  • Safety features: Toyota Safety Sense is a standard feature on all Sienna trims. This suite of technologies includes dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, and pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection.
  • Navigation: All Siennas also come with a 7-inch touch screen with voiceactivated navigation capabilities.
  • Interior comfort and convenience: Every Sienna comes with several USB ports to keep devices charged. These vehicles also have up to 10 cup holders across all three rows.

Off-Road Adventure: Toyota Tacoma
If your road trip will take you off the beaten path, go with the Toyota Tacoma. This vehicle can tow up to 6,800 pounds, making it a good option for transporting watercraft to a lake or hauling lots of camping gear down the road.

If you’re planning on doing some serious off-roading, go with the TRD Off-Road or TRD Pro trim. The former is available in access cab, double cab, short bed, long bed, and standard bed configurations, and the latter is available as a double cab or short cab. You’ll also have access to exclusive features, such as the TRD Pro skid plates and TRDtuned FOX internal bypass shocks, that protect the vehicle while traversing rough terrain.

Urban Travels: Toyota Camry Hybrid
If you’re traveling with just a couple people and will mostly be sticking to city roads and highways, fuel efficiency is your priority. In this category, the Toyota Camry Hybrid is hard to beat. This midsized car provides 51 miles per gallon in the city and 53 on the highway, and its 208-horsepower engine means the ride is still peppy enough to make for a fun drive.

The Camry Hybrid is available in three trims, and all run on a 2.5-liter four-cylinder ECVT hybrid engine. This is a super ultra low emission vehicle with a driving range of up to 676 miles.

Utility and Efficiency: Toyota RAV4
If you need a vehicle with some utility but don’t need the space of a Sienna or the power of a Tacoma, go with a RAV4. This is a compact SUV with a towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds and a cargo volume of up to 73.4 cubic feet. You’ll also enjoy excellent fuel efficiency with the RAV4. This vehicle gets 23 miles per gallon in the city and 29 on the highway.

No matter what type of trip you’re planning, there’s a Toyota to suit your needs. Check out the Sienna, Tacoma, Camry Hybrid, or RAV4 at a local dealership, and start planning your next adventure.
