Plenty of Customizations
If you’re buying new, get ready to build a Corolla tailored to your needs. To start, you’ll select one of these six trims:

  • L
  • LE
  • LE ECO
  • XLE
  • SE
  • XSE

All builds come with a 4-cylinder, 1.8-liter engine that gets 132 horsepower and delivers 128 pound feet of torque. You’ll get to pick the exterior color and, depending on the trim, the color of the interior mixed media fabric.

Finally, there are a range of packages and accessories to consider. For example, the SE trim can add body side moldings, a cargo tote for the trunk, a TRD rear sway bar, or the all-weather floor liner package. Each configuration has its own selection of interior, exterior, and performance accessories and packages, so have fun exploring what’s available and building a vehicle to suit your daily needs.

An Array of Safety Features
All 2018 Corollas come standard with Toyota Safety Sense P technologies. This includes the following systems:

  • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection: This camera and radar system detects hazards in the road. If a collision is likely, the vehicle alerts the driver and will either apply additional braking force or automatically hit the brakes to reduce the speed.
  • Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist: This system detects when a vehicle is departing a lane without input from the driver or when the turn signal is off. If the vehicle continues drifting, steering assist technology will engage and help re-center the car.
  • Automatic High Beams: This system activates and deactivates your high beams at night to help you see as clearly as possible without worrying about blinding other drivers.
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control: This system reduces and accelerates to maintain your preset speed based on the traffic around you.

These preventive and convenience technologies help drivers stay safe on the road. In addition to these features, all Corollas come with a backup camera and an in-console screen. The camera will overlay the path you’re following on the screen, allowing you to check for obstacles as you back out of the driveway and helping you perform tricky parallel parking with ease.

Available ECO Driving Mode
If fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness are important, check out the 2018 Corolla LE ECO configuration. This is the only trim that includes the ECO driving mode. Engage this system to have the vehicle automatically reduce the gas pedal output and adjust the air conditioning to achieve greater fuel efficiency. The LE ECO gets an EPA-estimated 40 miles per gallon on the highway.

The Corolla is a vehicle with lots of versatility, and with so many customization options and standard technologies, what’s not to love? Book a test drive at a local dealership, and check if they have the trim you want in their current inventory.
